a brand new Christmas attraction in the city centre
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has turned its Gas Hall into Neverland, a sprawling Christmas‑time adventure that opens on 23 October and runs through to 3 January 2027. Families can wander from the moment they step inside the museum into a whimsical forest of fairy lights, pirate ships and an enchanted camp, all set against the backdrop of J M Barrie’s beloved tale.
Designed by Culture Creative, the experience is packed with interactive set pieces: a full‑size galleon crewed by a live Captain Hook, a crocodile that slithers through the hall, a mermaid’s grotto, moving pictures and even a bedroom complete with a Christmas tree and teddy bear. Visitors can tie wishes to a wishing tree, sending support to the children of Great Ormond Street Hospital, the historic home of the Peter Pan legacy.
Tickets start at £12 for adults and £8 for children, with timed entry to manage capacity. A portion of each sale goes to the GOSH Charity, while the partnership between Birmingham Museums Trust, Sony Music/RG Live and Culture Creative helps fund the museum’s vital programmes. The result is a festive, family‑friendly immersion that brings the magic of Neverland to life in the heart of the city.
