Royal Oak’s Labor Day weekend comes alive with Arts, Beats & Eats, a four‑day celebration that blends live music, street food and visual art. From September 4‑7 the downtown core hosts roughly 200 performances on 11 stages, drawing crowds eager for everything from indie bands to local DJs.
Beyond the sound and flavor, the festival’s Fine Art Show stands as a highlight. This juried exhibition, praised as one of the Midwest’s premier showcases, gathers artists from across the country, offering paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more.
Visitors can chat directly with creators such as Anthony Brass, learn about their processes, and even purchase original works at a range of price points, proving that fine art can be both approachable and affordable.
