Arts on the Coast to host art show September 18
Arts on the Coast is staging a fresh show that delves into the idea of parallel experiences, inviting the public to a free ArtNite on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Richmond Hill City Center. The exhibition will remain on view at the venue through mid‑December, offering a lingering look at the themes.
One of the highlighted creators, Justin McBride, captured a fleeting sunset over his 25‑acre property, turning a brief red‑tinged cloud into a vivid painting that speaks to the transience of moments. McBride describes the work as a reminder to be present, noting how quickly the sky reverted to its ordinary blue.
Long‑time member and art teacher Josh Baluh brings a different technical focus, presenting three pieces that range from a detailed internal‑combustion engine sketch to a striking photograph titled Copper Disco and Violet Sky. The photo records the kaleidoscopic colors left behind a storm at a DoubleTree hotel, illustrating how everyday scenes can become extraordinary.
The evening runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring live music and light bites. Admission is free, making it an accessible night for anyone curious about how art can reflect parallel perspectives.
