Autumn events at Meijer Gardens complement Michigan’s largest chrysanthemum display

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park welcomes visitors to its annual Mums at Meijer Gardens exhibition, a state‑wide celebration of chrysanthemums that transforms the Grand Entry Garden, the Victorian Garden Parlor and the seasonal display garden with thousands of vibrant blooms throughout October.

The horticulture team has paired the floral spectacle with an abundance of fall plantings—ornamental grasses, pumpkins, gourds and curated botanical arrangements in the Gunberg and BISSELL Corridors—highlighting Michigan’s harvest bounty and local growers.

Building on the success of the popular Autumn Nights, the park launches Autumn Weekends for 2026, a series of weekend events that blend live music, seasonal food and beverage offerings, and family‑friendly activities across the grounds, including a Harvest Beer Garden on the amphitheater stage.

Special Halloween‑themed happenings such as “Hallowee‑Ones” feature a children’s parade, “Not‑So‑Spooky Storytime” in the Log Cabin, carved‑pumpkin displays and lawn games, all included with admission, inviting guests to celebrate the season together outdoors.
