LAIKA Wildwood movie Portland crow sculptures through Halloween
In the city of Portland, a unique art installation has taken flight, featuring 30 giant crow sculptures inspired by Colin Meloy’s novel Wildwood and LAIKA’s upcoming animated adaptation. The colorful statues, each nearly six feet long, have been hand-painted by local artists and are scattered throughout the city, creating a giant treasure hunt for residents and visitors alike.
The crows, which will be on display through Halloween weekend, can be found in various public spaces, including Pittock Mansion, Lincoln High School, and Portland City Hall. Each sculpture has a unique feather pattern, making them a must-see for art enthusiasts and fans of the Wildwood series. To complement the art installation, various events and activities are scheduled to take place, including guided walks, painting experiences, and lectures, culminating in a farewell weekend where the entire flock will be gathered together at Darcelle XV Plaza.
