Lalbagh flower show returns with floral tribute to Ganga dynasty
The Lalbagh flower show in Bengaluru is a highly anticipated event that has returned for its 220th edition, this time with a floral tribute to the Ganga dynasty. The 12-day show features intricate and vibrant floral displays that celebrate the glory of the Ganga Empire.
One of the main attractions is a 50-foot-high replica of the 1,200-year-old Panchalingeshwara Temple Complex at Begur, created using six lakh flowers. Other notable exhibits include floral depictions of the Ganga kings' Gajasena, battle scenes, the Bahubali statue of Shravanabelagola, and temples of Talakad.
The show also features replicas of the Bengaluru inscription, Elephant Battle, and Brahma Sthamba, as well as statues of Ganga rulers and exhibits showcasing their contributions to Kannada literature, education, irrigation, and sculpture, all of which add to the heritage-themed showcase.
