Norwin Art League holds annual exhibit
The Norwin Art League marks its 50th anniversary with a vibrant community exhibition featuring 146 works from local artists.
The show opens at noon Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin, located at the corner of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, and will remain on view through Saturday, with extended hours on Friday and a shorter schedule on Saturday.
An opening reception is slated for Thursday at 6 p.m., giving visitors a chance to mingle with artists and enjoy light refreshments.
The juried competition is overseen by Spanish artist Josias Figueirido, an assistant professor of art at Seton Hill University, whose expertise lends a professional edge to the selection process.
Beyond the current entries, the exhibition includes a historical review of past shows and a display of selected works from previous winners, offering a glimpse into the league’s rich legacy.
