This digital art exhibition in Delhi showcases technology as a new medium for expression
A new digital art exhibition in Delhi showcases technology as a new medium for artistic expression, featuring works by nine major contemporary artists. The exhibition, titled (Re)claiming Rights of Render(ing), presents a range of digital art forms, including virtual reality, interactive installations, digital sculpture, video art, and projection technologies.
The show features works by artists such as Riyas Komu, Alex Davis, Atul Bhalla, Gigi Scaria, GR Iranna, Sibdas Sengupta, Teja Gavankar, Vibha Galhotra, and Waswo X Waswo. Each artist has employed digital mediums to present ideas that remain deeply rooted in their existing practice, resulting in a conceptually strong show that explores various themes, including climate change and social concerns.
The exhibition is presented by NewArtX, a Mumbai-based studio that offers tech support to artists who are keen on exploring the digital medium. The studio aims to remove the financial and technical barriers that often prevent artists from working digitally, and to create an ecosystem where artists can experiment with technology and express themselves in new and innovative ways.
